Arbor Stool
Crafted entirely from waste cork reclaimed from discarded wine stoppers, Arbor Stool not only minimises waste but also supports biodiversity protected by responsibly managed cork forests. Harvested without harming the cork oak tree, cork naturally regenerates, ensuring an ongoing cycle of renewal and carbon sequestration throughout its life. Naturally fire-resistant, hypoallergenic, and lightweight yet durable, cork is a compelling, low-impact alternative to conventional materials.
CNC-machined from a single block of recycled cork, the stool’s tactile form shifts naturally from a rounded base to a softly radiused square top. Eliminating hard edges adds visual softness, protects the material’s integrity, and enhances user comfort. A distinctive overhang extends the usable surface area for greater ease, while doubling as a natural handle, allowing the stool to adapt, move, and reconfigure within a space. Echoing the canopy of a tree, this organic silhouette celebrates the stool’s origins and brings a dynamic, nature-inspired presence when grouped together.
