MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS  

This custom Blok Desk for Motorola Solutions demonstrates this philosophy in action. The desk was designed to establish an immediate sense of professionalism and innovation. Defined by clean architectural lines and refined detailing, the desk creates a welcoming focal point while seamlessly integrating the practical requirements of a busy reception environment.  

Finished in Durat Plaster Grey, the reception desk pairs contemporary aesthetics with responsible material selection. Its soft matt finish, subtle texture and understated elegance provide a premium appearance, while an integrated sign-in platform and large illuminated translucent branding panel create an intuitive visitor experience that reflects Motorola Solutions' forward-thinking identity. 

WHY DURAT?

Durat is an innovative solid surface material manufactured using recycled plastics, giving new life to waste materials without compromising on quality or durability. Its smooth, seamless finish makes it ideal for high-use commercial environments, while its exceptional strength ensures it continues to perform for years to come.

Unlike many conventional materials, Durat can also be repaired, refinished and ultimately recycled into new products at the end of its service life. This significantly extends the lifespan of furniture and helps reduce unnecessary waste, making it an ideal choice for projects where longevity and sustainability are equally important.

While durable materials form an important part of the solution, we believe the greatest environmental impact comes from extending the life of the products we manufacture.  

That’s why Isomi offers refurbishment and product support programmes designed to encourage a more circular approach to commercial furniture. Instead of replacing furniture when workplaces evolve, we work with our clients to refresh, repair and repurpose existing products wherever possible. 

For our UK customers, our take-back service can also help ensure that when products eventually reach the end of their useful life, components and materials can be recovered, reused or responsibly recycled - keeping valuable resources in circulation and reducing the amount of furniture sent to landfill.  

This approach not only helps minimise waste, but also supports organisations in achieving their own environmental goals while maximising the value and lifespan of their investment.
