We’re delighted to share that our 3D-knitted seating system, Knit One designed by Paul Crofts, has earned two additional awards this year, following its success at NeoCon in June.
At last week’s Dezeen Awards, Knit One was named Seating Design of the Year, and last night at the Mix Awards North, it received the Seating Design of the Year title once again.
Announced just days apart, these accolades represent an exciting milestone for everyone involved in bringing Knit One to life.
DEZEEN AWARDS
Knit One was named Seating Design of the Year, one of only 14 design winners selected by Dezeen’s esteemed international panel of judges. This year’s awards attracted over 4,300 entries from 89 countries, making this recognition especially meaningful.
The judges commented:
“This chair design not only functions effectively but, crucially, it is free from toxic and polluting petrochemical-derived foams. The comfort is derived from stretching the textile over the metal frame, which in turn informs the aesthetic. The design is simple in its material use and easily repairable. It sends a strong message to the industry that the construction of upholstered furniture needs a serious rethink.”
MIX AWARDS NORTH
Knit One was also named Product of the Year in the seating category, recognising its contribution to responsible and adaptable design within commercial interiors.
THANK YOU
Knit One introduces a new approach to upholstered seating. it replaces traditional foam with an advanced 3D-knitted textile sleeve, made using recycled and fully recyclable SEAQUAL® yarn derived from post consumer marine plastic waste.
A lightweight metal frame supports the knitted structure and is engineered for flat-pack shipping and simple local assembly, helping reduce the carbon impact of transportation.
Knit One reflects our continued commitment to material innovation, longevity and responsible design and we’re thrilled to see this recognised by the industry.
A big thank you for your support.
