Overlooking Deansgate and Manchester Cathedral, 101 Embankment has some spectacular views. The first part of a two-phased development, the modern steel and glass office building sits above a sandstone viaduct, contrasting periods of architecture.
The affinity for glass continues into the reception area where large blue glass panels clad the length of the space. The Mono desk was a natural fit as the organic curves complemented the smooth appearance of the glass. Configured to suit the requirements of the space, Mono featured a double DDA scoop and left-hand return to accommodate the security needs of the entry system.
Designed by Flanagan Lawrence, 101 Embankment achieved a BREEAM rating of excellent and also won a number of awards including the RIBA North West Regional Award.
