Occupying the same building since the early 90’s, City & Guilds HQ in London underwent a complete refurbishment to upgrade the facilities for staff and visitors alike.

The design scheme focused on maximising the efficiency of the available space, improving the navigation of the building. This led to developing a reception space connected to newly created meeting rooms, improving the visitor journey.

With a generous visitor waiting area. the reception desk needed to provide a focal point to the space. The Mono desk was specified in a large configuration and planned into the existing space to draw visitor’s attention.

This configuration was customised to include a return section, bringing the end of the Mono to the security barrier system.
