Following an extensive refurbishment and extension under the direction of Barr Gazetas, 450 South Oak Way achieved an EPC B and BREEAM Excellent rating in addition to being awarded a BCO Awards commendation.
The new design for the building saw a total overhaul over the entranceway. A two-storey cantilevered extension was introduced creating additional office space whilst adding a new dimension to the front elevation. The faceted metallic soffit draws inwards, directing people to the light and airy atrium connecting both wings of the building.
Kin IV was specified to sit in the centre of the atrium, mirroring the architecture of the building and creating a focal point in such a large space. Bespoke branding, integrated storage and sign-in platforms address the practical requirements for the desk while the contours of the Kin IV provide a sculptural quality to a functional piece.
