Originally built in the early 1960's made of concrete, steel and brick, designer Katie Bowden-Ferola carefully considered materials for the interior of Bedford Heights, keeping the style raw and simple to bring the building up to date.
Katie commissioned a custom Volume reception desk for the focal point of the area, with the Bedford Heights Bison set in the centre of the desk to enhance the piece. With two shades of translucency the custom Bison design showcases the versatility of Solid Surface.
Wall Panel, with integrated shelving, was chosen to sit behind the desk, contrasting both colour and texture while providing display opportunities. The final appearance is carefully considered as each piece of hot rolled steel is hand-selected for its individual components and rich colour veins. The shelving accommodates various mini concrete potted cacti adding another dimensional layer to the overall reception design.
